Big E is one of the top babyfaces of the company but most importantly he’s one of the best workhorse of WWE. He had a great success with his stable New Day along with Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods and finally he had his moment this year when he cash-in his MITB on then WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and capture his first world title in his entire career. Unfortunately, he title run got abruptly ended by ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1 and now reports revealed the original plans for Big E at Day 1 and it’s pretty interesting.
According to Wrestling Observer Live, original plans had Big E retaining the WWE Title over Owens, Rollins and Lashley. The title change was a direct result of Reigns testing positive for COVID-19 and WWE pulling him from the show.
Now that’s pretty interesting to see that the original plans were Big E retaining the title as fans on social media were predicting Kevin Owens will win the bout. WWE surprised everyone with the result of the main event but ultimately we got what we wanted to see Lesnar Vs Lashley at Royal Rumble 2022. Now we have to wait and see what WWE will plan for Big E from now on.
