WWE has taken a very shocking step and they decided to not to allow their stars to use any third party platform to earn monies. Indirectly, WWE bans Twitch & Cameo for WWE Superstars because many Stars were earning quite good from these platforms.
According to the report of Wresting Inc, Vince McMahon sent a letter to WWE Superstars informing that they’re no longer allowed to engage with any third parties. WWE allows only 30 days to their stars to cease all their third party activites.
“Some of you are engaged with outside third parties using your name and likeness in ways that are detrimental to our company,” McMahon wrote. “It is imperative that these activities be terminated within the next 30 days (by Friday October 2). Continued violations will result in fines, suspension, or termination at WWE’s discretion.”
Vince McMahon order this new rule by himself and it means that this will substantially cut WWE Stars income because several top names in the company are in Twitch & Cameo where they interact with fans and earns a quite good amount of income.
