Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the underrated gems in WWE. WWE signed him back in 2017 and he debuts in NXT against Sami Zayn in a show stealing match. Nakamura is two time NXT Champion and he is the most underused talent in the main roster. Now, Nakamura teases a match against the returning WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

During the latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Nakamura and Edge was shown backstage having conversation. After the end of the show, WWE on FOX’s Twitter account uploaded a post where they ask to fans if they want to see this match happens down the line.

Nakamura saw this tweet and replied ‘Yes’.

Yes, we’d like to see @EdgeRatedR vs. @ShinsukeN. Thanks for asking. #SmackDown

Currently, Edge reportedly set to face Roman Reigns at this year’s Wrestlemania for the Universal Title in a Spear vs. Spear dream match. Nakamura is not having any feud with anyone as of now. We might see Nakamura Vs. Edge down the line maybe before Wrestlemania or after Wrestlemania.

Recently, Nakamura also made it clear that he wants to become the first ever Japanese World Champion in WWE.

“This year I did not win the Royal Rumble, but all is not lost. My dream, no my purpose remain the same. I will be the first-ever Japanese WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The Royal Rumble is only one path of my journey.”

“I will find another way to climb the mountain. My journey is not finished yet. Life goes on, come on!”
