WWE started their so called budget cuts during the pandemic era and now these releases are the new norm of the company. WWE released more than hundred wrestlers and backstage officials in the past two years. This ignited the rumor that Vince is planning to sell the company but the rumors are not true. Now, one more time WWE decided to layoff some of their employees but they shocked us again when they decided to release long term employees like William Regal and Road Dogg.

According to Fightful Select, WWE’s latest slew of releases were seemingly done in order to remove employees hired by Triple H.

A ton of shocking NXT personnel cuts came on Wednesday, with WWE telling Fightful “With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.” Unanimously, the talent and staff familiar with the PC, NXT, and NXT 2.0 have said this is directly to remove numerous Triple H hires, with the exception being Allison Danger. WWE officials we spoke with didn’t deny this, and even said as much in their statement, in kinder terms.

This resulted in a huge overhaul, and much of the Triple H-era NXT names being let go of the company.

These releases made very clear that Vince decided to fire the people that Hunter hired. It’s really heartbreaking to see what Triple H did to build the black and gold brand and now in his absence Vince destroyed the brand and made the brand something which Hunter never wanted to be.
