WWE Friday Night Smackdown Results – August 13th, 2021
John Cena kicks off the show and cuts a promo on Roman Reigns. Reigns music hits and hit walks down to the ring with Paul Heyman. Reigns tells Cena that he will smash him and throw him back to Hollywood. Reigns tells Cena maybe he is good at missionary position from the past 20 years but sure it was not enough for Nikki Bella.
Cena tells Reigns and he is being protected from the past 10 years and he is the one who ruins the Shield and make Dean Ambrose make his way out of WWE. Cena tells Reigns that he just need 1-2-3 to end his title run and the champ will be gone and Cena will become the 17th time world champion and leaves the arena. Reigns smiles as Cena drops the mic and leaves.
Apollo Crews (c) w/Commander Azeez Vs. King Nakamura w/Rick Boogs
Both men goes back and forth at the start of the match. Crews climbs to the top and Rick Boogs distracts him on the apron and plays a guitar and ref tells him to leave. Azeez was also trying to get in the ring and ref saws him and tells him to leave as well as we go for commercial.
After the break, Crew superplexes Nakamura for two count. Crews tries to perform the frog splash but Nakamura gets his knees up. Crews tries to the victory by putting his legs on the ropes but ref saws it. Nakamura fights back and hits a death valley driver for a two count. Nakamura hits the exploder suplex followed with a for the victory.
Winner & NEW Intercontinental Champion: King Nakamura
