Drew McIntyre lost his WWE Championship last month at Elimination Chamber PPV after Miz cashed in his MITB briefcase. Before the Chamber match, McIntyre has been feuding with his former best friend Sheamus and after losing the title, their rivalry is far from over. Now, reports are suggesting that WWE is planning a brutal match between these two at WWE Fastlane PPV.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that WWE is planning to hold a ‘Last Man Standing’ match between Drew McIntyre & Sheamus at WWE Fastlane.

“The working idea is now Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus at Fastlane.”

During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, McIntyre & Sheamus faced each other in a No DQ match, but the match ended in a No Contest as both the wrestlers were not able to compete after they hit each other with steel steps. McIntyre has a brutal way ahead for his Road to Wrestlemania as he is the most likely opponent for Bobby Lashley at Wrestlemania 37.
