Greetings, it’s the WB Weekly Report for May 14th, 2023 & Happy Mother’s Day from our team.

We want to thank everyone for joining us weekly as the staff chooses pro wrestling’s top five leading headlines.

Let’s review those 5-news stories 

1. Is The Bloodline imploding soon? 

Every great cinematic story must contain various twists & turns along its natural progression. Professional wrestling may not be like a film; however, successful narratives use logical swerves to keep the fans apprehensive at times.

One WWE tale remains persistent, The Bloodline. Each adventure needs a sense of danger, this unknown element. Weeks concerning various episodes of Raw & SmackDown are continually progressing through implosion within the family dynamic. Roman Reigns was not pleased with his cousins Jimmy & Jey Uso on this Week’s Friday Night SmackDown! Reigns stated that Solo stepped up at Backlash while he complimented Sikoa. 

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens are not the problems. Roman said Jimmy & Jey Uso was the problem. They dedicated a match referencing WrestleMania Reigns explained. He’s upset with them. The Tribal Chief demands an apology. Roman disrespected Jimmy, and Jey apologized to him. Give the Uso’s one more shot. Paul Heyman announces that Solo & Roman will challenge Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.

How long before Jimmy & Jey turn on Roman & company? 

Regins honored The Wild Samoans. His father is Sika.

2. AJ vs. Rollins for the new WHC

Breaking news regarding the WWE Championship Tournament: 

A match between AJ Styles & Seth “ Freakin “ Rollins transpires circa Night of Champions.

Last Monday on Raw. Rollins surprised both his opponents, Damien Priest & Shinsuke Nakamura. He splashed Nakamura off the top to break up a potential submission victory that Shinsuke had locked on Priest. Then, Rollins Pedigrees, the master of Japanese Strongstyle 1-2-3.

Seth advanced & wrestled Finn Balor in the semifinal. After two stomps, The Visionary triumphed.

Styles overcame two Hall of Famers to advance & compete against Bobby Lashley via the semifinal on Friday Night SmackDown.

Let me highlight how we got there. AJ hits The Phenomenal Forearm on Edge in that incredible triple-threat match & does it again to Lashley. The OC celebrate with their stablemate.

3. Asuka Turns Heel:

The Empress of Tomorrow shows her true intentions via this weekend’s SmackDown episode by turning on Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. 

They had a hometown celebration in Knoxville, Tennessee, for “The-EST “ being the youngest & longest reigning Women’s Champion of the Modern Era, including WWE history. Rocky Top was electric upon seeing their hometown hero. Asuka interrupts these festivities. It appeared as if Asuka would congratulate Belair until she spits her signature mist on her face. Asuka reveals her heel turn.

4. Don Callis Betrays Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega’s longtime mentor/friend & sometimes manager -Don Callis, swerved everyone after betraying Omega during his cage match opposing Jon Moxley circa AEW Dynamite on Wednesday.

It presented a brutal encounter, and fans remained shocked by Callis’s actions. Don Callis breaks up Kenny’s probable pinning combination on Mox after nailing him using a screwdriver. It assisted Moxley’s win! Similar to a scene from a Mob film. Callis said something to Omega and followed that up by kissing his head.

5. SummerSlam Updates from Wrestling Blog

Our trusted friends at The Wrestling Blog are reporting that Drew McIntyre will expectedly join WWE on the road to SummerSlam & their sources revealed about “ The Scottish Warrior competing at SummerSlam.

The Brock vs. Cody rivalry might continue into the major summer headliner ( SummerSlam). Instead of Roman versus Rhodes. Gunther looks to remain as Intercontinental Champion. WWE Officials are expecting a Bray Wyatt & Alexa Bliss return as this relates to SummerSlam.
