Alright folks. We are getting to the point of a new era. The end of the Thunderdome/Capital Center occupations. Well, I won’t get too far of myself. I have no idea of NXT is going fully open. They already have fans at shows to begin with but as a whole WWE seems to be exiting the “quarantine era”.

Also not to get ahead of myself I achieved the dream of every fan/armchair booker/YouTube criticizer/mark/writer/pervert/etc. I interacted with a wrestler. And not just any wrastler but my balsy bb: Shotzi Blackheart.

But much like most of the women I date she deleted the retweet and erased any memory of our brief online connection. Oh well. You have my handle Shotzi, holler at your boy.

Tonight is jammed packed with matches including a three-way to see who faces NXT champ Karrion Kross at the In-Your-House ppv.

Fatal Three Way: #1 Contender Match for NXT title: Pete Dunn vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Kyle O’Reilly

Immediately this fight turns into a brawl. Dunn eventually gains the first momentum swing.

We get to a point where there is a triple-submission by all three competitors. That’s the kind of fight to expect.

So many twisted fingers and bends of joints. I’m eating pho with some hot jalapeños and I can feel the pain. The heat swirled with watching them twist their bodies parts into compromising positions.

By the way we have a break with picture-in-picture.

Man this match is nuts. Counters and clever submissions. Each man is leaving out there. Dunn is Lansing some hard kicks to faces and in return the Bruiserweight is selling like a mug.

The pacing, the psychology, the crowd. It all works.

Adam Cole runs in and chair shots the lot. Attacks all around even the ref gets hurt. William Regal and a couple of security guys escort Cole out of the arena.

-commercial break-

As they escort Cole out of the arena Ember Moon is in the middle of the ring calling our Raquel González.

The two go at it until Regal and friends escort González out. As the GM has his back turned Dakota Kai pops out the back and attacks Moon.

Wait, so no resolution to the fight or the women’s brawl? I’d give the whole thing a 4.78 out of five if we got an ending.

LA Knight vs. Jake Atlas

One week after interrupting the Grimes/DiBiase promo he looks to become The Million Dollar Man’s successor.

During the match Ted DiBiase shows up to analyze his potential protégé.

We go to commercial as Knight is in control.

Back from commercial Knight stops whatever momentum Atlas had. But the underdog picks up some steam and regains his footing.

Wow, this match is turning into an epic. Atlas hits a cartwheel DDT to win with a pin. I give it a 3.8 out of five.

As Ted leaves Knight pleads for him to accept him but DiBiase nods, “no” and leaves.

We go to commercial as Adam Cole walks past DiBiase.

Adam Cole cuts a promo in the middle of the ring about how he is the #1 contender.

Cole calls Kross a big muscle head who doesn’t belong in the ring with him. Karrion and Scarlett then come to the ring.

The two come face-to-face and Kross tells him he isn’t relevant, bay-bay!

Adam Cole really lays into Kross. William Regal comes in and says Cole is trying to weasel his way into championship picture. Regal then gives the blessing of Kross’ request of a fatal five way between Kross, Cole and tonight’s championship contenders at In Your House.

NXT Cruiserweight Championship: Kushida(c) vs. Carmelo Hayes

Kushida had an open challenge and Hayes answered.

I’m not going play by play. Mufukas I’m tide. Not tired but tide.

Now it’s a good match. But I’m worn out from a opening match that was more convoluted than the plot of Prometheus. It wears me down. I’m tired. I’m in good shape but I’m tired.

Kushida eventually submits his debuting opponent to retain his Cruiserweight Championship. I give it a 3.67 out of five.

Women’s Tag Team Match: Zayda Ramier & Zoey Stark vs. The Way: Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell(C)

Indi and I kinda look alike. Fuck. She’s gorgeous.

The champs come out on a mission and dominate from the start.

Ramier thought gets a couple of near falls but the champs are too much and The Way win. I give it 3.2 out of five.

NXT Tag Team Championship: Legado Del Fantasmo vs. MSK(c)

This high stakes match is going back and forth until two more tag teams fight outside the ring. It’s chaos this episode. Just like I like it.

-We go to PiP commercial-

This is a good match but I wonder why this was the main event instead of the three way. Maybe because of the storyline and the beefs.

Anyways we have had a ton of near falls. It’s back and forth between these teams.

It’s a good match that’s why there is no play-by-play at a consistent pace.

MSK retains with a little help from Bronson Lee and that’s how we end NXT! I give it a 4.43 out of five.
