Hello, wrestling fans & welcome to the weekly news roundup for this week in pro-wrestling. On behalf of Wrestlebuddy, let’s get started.

1. Sasha & Naomi returning to WWE?

We have a big news update regarding the WWE return of Sasha Banks & Naomi. These former WWE Tag Team Champions are likely to be back. Both ladies walked out because of creative disagreements in May with the company. Rumors began to spread concerning the eaches’ release. Vince McMahon has since retired from his cooperate duties, while Triple H was named WWE’s Chief Content Officer. They held a tournament to crown new tag team champions. With a new regime, more speculative news emerged about the duo’s return! What helped engage this was WWE’s signature “Then. Now. Forever. The video at Crown Jewel featured Banks & Naomi. 

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful remarked, “ I asked WWE about Sasha & Naomi appearing in today’s intro. A rep said “ no news to report” on that front.

Banks alluded to making the most of November to make all her dreams happen in preparation for this date that I’ve been waiting for, as she has spoken of in past interviews. 

2. Jeff Jarrett to AEW

A WWE Hall of Famer made his shocking AEW debut this week on Dynamite ( Wed- Nov. 2nd). It occurred after Jay Lethal faced Darby. Cole Karter dressed up as Sting & cost him the match against Lethal. Satnam Singh with Sonjay Dutt enters as well. They attack Allin and Sting’s music hits.

Everyone clears the ring except for Darby. Jeff Jarrett hits Darby Allin with his famous guitar. He addressed Darby, “ You just got a lesson from “ The Last Outlaw! “ All-Elite Wrestling named Jarrett their new Director of Business Development! Double J will expand the live events for 2023. 

3. Imminent threat for Crown Jewel & Logan Paul’s injury

WWE Crown Jewel proved successful on Saturday! News reports began to surface about Saudi Arabia facing an imminent threat before their premium live event. There was trepidation among people inside WWE, According to reports. The Wall Street Journal reported on Nov. first that the U. S. government did receive word from Saudi Arabia concerning an imminent threat to their kingdom. 

A spokesperson representing the National Security Counsel said, “ We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis. 

We will not hesitate to act when defending our interests and partners in the region. “ 

After this news went public, PWInsider also reported on Nov. 5th that WWE did plan on continuing their Crown Jewel show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company had security protocols & contingency plans in place due to any problems occurring. Brian Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live spoke more about people’s trepidation. 

“ There was a lot of trepidation & the people going on the trip are trepidatious going in, but now you have this on top of everything else, so it appears that the show must go on, & everything turns out right. “

Following Crown Jewel 2019, reports arose regarding talents being held hostage in the Middle East.

Logan Paul suffered a knee injury during his match opposing the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. Paul wrote via social media after the show that he had a torn meniscus, MCL, & possibly also torn ACL. Paul said, 

“ Happened halfway through the match & keep everyone updated. On Paul’s Instagram Live, he shared a video of himself joking about the injury with his brother Jake Paul. Another video showed his girlfriend wheeling him around in a wheelchair & he’s holding crutches. 

4. Is Alexa Bliss joining Bray Wyatt?

Could WWE fans witness a reunion or a revenge story detailing the current Women’s Tag Team Champion, Alexa Bliss & Bray Wyatt? If you have followed each superstar’s trajectory, both characters share a compelling backstory. Audiences saw Alexa join The Fiend circa 2020 through 2021. It appears Bliss might get twisted again & Revel in who she is. In a backstage interview with Byron Saxton at Crown Jewel before she & Asuka defended their titles against Damage Control. Bray Wyatt’s moth logo suddenly appeared on a screen near Bliss. Anything is possible, &!maybe Bray wants Bliss to join or get revenge on the person who cost him at WrestleMania 37 & betrayed his trust.

5. Five -on-Five War Games Matches confirmed for Survivor Series

Earlier this year, WWE announced their Survivor Series premium live event that involves one classic concept that the NXT brand has reintroduced back into mainstream wrestling/sports entertainment. It was made famous by the NWA & WCW first. Now, the main roster will compete in a War Games match. WWE confirmed that ten wrestlers are to wrestle in each match. 5 per team face-off, the detail revealed itself in a new commercial that aired during Crown Jewel on Saturday. The War Games advertisement featured music from Black Sabbath, the song “ War Pigs “ played. WWE Survivor Series emanates live from the TD Garden in Boston, MA, on Saturday, Nov. 26th.
