With the WWE’s history of musical gimmicks, top rivals AEW decided they wanted some of the musical pie with rap duo The Acclaimed.
Still quite new in AEW, the team consists of Mark Bowen and Max Caster both of whom were signed in November 2020, adding to their stacked tag division. They made their Dynamite debut in December beating former tag champions SCU. They challenged for the tag titles the next night against The Young Bucks. Max Caster had a short solo run after, entering the Face of The Revolution ladder match.
Max Caster is perhaps the more charismatic of the duo, making personalized freestyle raps against whoever he is against. This improvised slander helps garner further heat for the duo, taking down their opponents in emphatic fashion. In addition, Caster comes down to the ring with headphones as well as a boombox often used to strike their opponents with to get a devious advantage. With this group just starting up, it seems they will only improve and flourish with time.
