26. Mr. Perfect
Close your eyes. Think really hard about this next question. Who is the best professional wrestler to never win the World Title on the big stage? If your answer is anything other than Mr. Perfect, you’re wrong. The name Mr. Perfect was very telling of Curt when referring to his wrestling skill in the ring, because he was indeed perfect. His movement was amongst the smoothest the business has ever seen. The man was incapable of having a bad match and if you sat down and really put thought into it, you would find more classics than bad matches.
A victim of his time, had Mr. Perfect found himself in the era that would follow his, he would have probably been able to find himself at least one World Championship run. But even without that on his resume, he was still able to have a very successful career which would mostly be due to his wrestling. A wrestling technician if we’ve ever seen one, Curt more times than not was the better man during his matches no matter the opponent. He would find himself ranked as high as #9 in PWI’s Top 500 in 1993, which could very well be seen as the best year of his career.
