Having previously failed to find a true identity, Scott Levy took advantage of the grunge scene sweeping the US to become the dark, poignant and disgruntled Raven.
Mixing the culture of bands such as Pearl Jam and Nirvana and the dark, gothic literature of Edgar Allen Poe – he dressed in tattered clothing, with face-paint and long hair. His largest feud in his career was with Tommy Dreamer, whose number Raven always seemed to have and had a love/hate relationship with.
Raven often gave dark soliloquies, luring in the dark and cutting angry and cutting promos topped off with “Quoth the Raven: Nevermore”. Throughout his runs in ECW, WCW and TNA, he continuously had a group of devout followers who helped their master’s every move. A former NWA and ECW world champion, his WWF/E stint saw hi become the most decorated Hardcore champion of all time with 27 reigns.
