Top 50 Greatest Wrestling Heels of all time
24. Owen Hart
Owen Hart was widely respected as a skilled worker through the early years of his career. He really grabbed the attention of fans in 1994, though, he with his first heel turn in WWE.
The storyline saw him clearly jealous of his brother Bret. Survivor Series 1993 saw the beginnings of their issue when Owen was the lone man eliminated from a team of Hart Brothers opposite Shawn Michaels’s team. The issue continued to them putting on an instant classic of a match at WrestleMania 10, then going on to feud over the WWE title in a match highlighted by Owen’s believable promo work, and excellent matches by the pair.
Billing himself The King of Harts, Owen took on arrogant, often as not absurd royal mannerisms. The King gimmick really helped him show off his personality, to complement his stellar in ring talent.
