AEW has become such a hot wrestling promotion in the past few months that now the company is considering themselves as the true competition to WWE. AEW signed huge names like CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole & Malakai Black and they legitimately became a threat to WWE after the 30 minutes head to head showdown with Friday Night Smackdown where AEW beats them in the demographics. AEW is on the signing spree but who will be the first guy who will jump ship to WWE. We think we found that guy.

While speaking to Barstool Rasslin’ podcast, MJF discussed his contract with AEW and he teased that he might jump ship to other promotions after his contract expires.

“I might go over there. I might go to Impact. I might go to Ring of Honor. I can go wherever I want because I’m the hottest commodity in professional wrestling, and I’m a businessman.

“Bruce Prichard, we go way back to my Major League Wrestling days, absolutely. He’s a huge fan of mine. I’ve been in this business for a long time since 2014, riding the roads. It’s up to Tony Khan to decide what happens there, and that’s why I don’t get into ratings talk.”

“My issue and the reason why I don’t get into ratings talk, and I’ll let everybody else do it, is because someday, if Tony Khan, again good friend of mine, love him, doesn’t fork up the right amount of money, when my contract goes up in the beginning of 2024, I might go to the other place.”

MJF is currently under contract with AEW and his contract is set to expire in 2024. MJF is one of the top most heel of the company. He is teasing to join WWE from quite sometime but this time he made it pretty clear that he might be the first guy to jump ship from AEW to WWE.
