There’s lot of things going on in the pro wrestling world in the past few weeks. Recently, we learned that Adam Cole’s is working with NXT without a contract and still he didn’t re-sign with the company. Now, reports are suggesting that another top NXT star’s contract is set to expire on SummerSlam weekend.

According to Fightful, Pete Dunne’s contract is set to expire during SummerSlam weekend. Dunne is just 27 years old and he has been a workhorse for NXT from quite sometime. He was the longest reigning NXT UK Champion until WALTER surpassed his record. It was noted that his situation is “similar to that of Adam Cole’s”.

Pete Dunne’s NXT contract is also up soon, with one source also pointing to “after Summerslam weekend,” though we haven’t confirmed that date with Dunne or WWE as of yet.

This has been the craziest month for all the wrestling fans as we saw some shocking returns with some showcking release. Now, we just have to wait and see what will happen with Cole and Dunne after NXT Takeover 36.
