4. WWE wanted to sign Britt Baker

Adam Cole shocked the world when he debuts at AEW All Out. Rumors and reports were speculating that he might re-sign with WWE but he chose to leave WWE and join their competition All Elite Wrestling. Everyone knows that Cole’s real life girlfriend AEW Women’s Champion Dr. Britt Baker has been a part of AEW since it’s inception and she is the face of AEW Women’s division.

According to Fightful Select, WWE wanted to sign Baker when her contract was set to expire in late 2021, but Baker chose to re-sign with AEW. The report also stated that the interest from WWE was when they still were under the impression that Adam Cole’s contract would end in late 2021.
