The October 7th edition of SmackDown kicked off its season premiere. For nearly a month, WWE has teased fans about this new character, “ White Rabbit! “ Rumors began circulating due to widespread belief that Bray Wyatt would return to the company. After weeks of teases, another video reaffirms everyone’s joyful suspicions. Triple H kicked off Friday night’s broadcast & the mic had a QR Code on it. Viewers even saw someone dressed like a buddy rabbit. The most telling indication was a White Rabbit video, which teases answers at Extreme Rules.

Finally, D-Day has arrived, and we saw the much-anticipated return of the ‘Eater of the Worlds’ at WWE Extreme Rules.

After Matt Riddle beat Seth Rollins, Daniel Cormier and Riddle were just about to leave, but the lights went off. Suddenly, Bray Wyatt’s voice started singing “he’s got the whole world in his hands.” The Philly crowd lost it as the camera started zooming into real-life versions of Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House characters.

The song continued until a burned Fiend mask appeared on the announce table. Corey Graves and Michael Cole scattered. Then a door appeared on the stage, and they went to a video of an abandoned Firefly Fun House.

The Firefly Fun House song played, and then the television showed a strange masked figure as static and other interference came through. The masked figure laughed, and then the television shut off.

That door on the stage became the primary focus once again as it started to glow. A rumbling noise took over the arena and the door burst open with a stream of light. Suddenly, a lantern was seen walking out of the door held by none other than Bray Wyatt.

2. Zelena Vega returns & Legado Del Fantasma debuts on SmackDown

The Blue brand for WWE pulled out one big surprise debut & return during SmackDown. Legado Del Fantasma attacked Hit Row & they disguised themselves by wearing Lucha Libre masks. B-fab took a hurricarrana from Zelina Vega & then Vega hit her with the knee. Santos Escobar claimed, “ Smackdown is ours, be safe! “

Some positive news concerning AEW, Saraya ( formerly WWE’s Paige), and Dr. Michael Sampson has reportedly cleared her to wrestle again. Saraya retired because of a neck injury circa 2018.

His quote- “Saraya was officially cleared by Dr. Michael Sampson. She looks to be feuding with Britt Baker.”

This information is from Dave Meltzer. He also mentioned how Saraya is likely to feud against Britt Baker. If fans tuned into Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite episode, Saraya delivered an elbow to Baker & the two brawl afterward.

4. Andrade & Sammy Guevara altercation

Sammy Guevara keeps himself in wrestling headlines for all the wrong reasons. First, he & Eddie Kingston were in a physical confrontation. Many are now questioning his professionalism after this latest scuffle with fellow AEW wrestler & ex-WWE personality Andrade El Idolo. TMZ Sports reported that unpleasantries began leading to Sammy allegedly pushing Andrade, & fists were supposedly exchanged. Things intensified after Sammy claimed that Andrade hit too hard in the ring. These two shared an intense back-n-forth on Twitter. Andrade responded to Guevara’s comments & interviewed by Eric Mutter of Wrestling Inc. “ it’s wrestling. Solve it in the ring. If I hit too hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in & accused me like a little girl. I spoke to him & asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not & that’s all there was to it. “ Tony Khan made a controversial decision when he sent Andrade home from Dynamite in Washington D.C. from his altercation with Sammy.

5. Is Jeff Hardy returning?

PWInsider has currently been reporting this week that Jeff Hardy could be returning to AEW soon. However, Hardy cannot return from his suspension until the wrestler’s legalities are clear & it depends on if he stays sober. His arrest came after competing at AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV. Hardy is still signed but will remain out for an extended period. So, don’t get your hopes up about Jeff’s reemergence on AEW TV. Mike Johnson from PWInsider reported that AEW desired Jeff to reach specific goals before coming back. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19th. Hardy previously had pleaded not guilty after facing DUI charges following arrests on June 13th. The offense is his third DUI-related charge in ten years.
