We are here with another edition of our weekly wrestling news round-up of this week and here’s the five biggest news of this week (Oct. 9th, 2021)
5. Reigns Vs. Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38??
Roman Reigns is set to defend his title against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel. But, reports are suggesting that WWE have huge plans for this feud and we might see another encounter between ‘The Tribal Chief’ & ‘The Beast Incarnate’ at Wrestlemania 38.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar and Reigns are set to have one more match and most likely we will see the rematch in Wrestlemania 38. The question is who will walk out with the title at Crown Jewel.
From what we understand, and what makes sense, is this is not a one-and-done program. For one, unless Dwayne Johnson is wrestling Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania, this would appear to be the biggest possible ‘Mania match. So the idea here is to build to a return, whether that means Lesnar wins to build to a rematch or some disputed decision takes place. There is also Paul Heyman in play as the storyline is written to tease that Heyman is a double agent and you don’t know who he will side with when all the chips are down.
With the involvement of Paul Heyman, the storyline becomes more interesting and if we noticed Heyman’s past, most of the times he betrayed the wrestlers he managed when it is least expected. So, it’ll be quite interesting to see the outcome of this epic showdown. We predict that Lesnar will win the title with the help of Heyman and then these two will have a rematch at Mania 38.
