Who will buy WWE?

The entire professional wrestling landscape has persistently shifted with news anent recent chatter involving WWE selling to an entertainment company possessing name value. Vince McMahon remerged as Chairman this week. He and other executives prompted a sale after being voted back in. Various reports voiced that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund had bought the organization on Tuesday, Jan. 10th. TMZ Sports said sources close to WWE denied a finalized deal between the two. If Saudi Arabia did purchase the sports entertainment corporation? Logan Paul faces Roman Reigns inside a steel cage match & the winner receives a prized championship camel. Fans watch this famous WrestleMania rematch featuring Mayor Kane versus The Undertaker & whoever is victorious gets buried in the sand. I can envision Vince McMahon accompanying Austin Theory, the first name not included. Goldberg comes out to destroy him. Your new United States Champion-Saudi government. It’s no longer WrestleMania there, pal!!! How about, Saudimania presents a Triple Crown Jewel where Repo Man wrestles Skinner? Also, a WWE shareholder is suing McMahon as this pertains to a Deleware court. Mike Leonard of Bloomberg reported that it was due to McMahon’s timely return so he would be controlling WWE’s upcoming negotiations for a media rights deal. WWE possibly revert from a public company back to private again? 

Fox gained complete control of the UFC circa 2021 and retained Dana White as president. Vince could stay with WWE despite another brand acquiring it. Episodes of Friday Night SmackDown are broadcasted already on Fox. Maybe, they want viewers to watch more programming other than Fridays. Companies like Endeavor, Comcast/NBC Universal, Amazon, Netflix, Disney, and AEW! Speculation hints at Shahid & Tony Khan buying. Finally, ” The 3 Khans all under one roof. ” Nick Khan, Tony, and Shahid. Can one imagine Raw transitioning into Raw is Dynamite with Dark starting to elevate NXT, both continuing to Level Up? Sami Zayn gets kicked out of the Bloodline, and Bryan Danielson has returned. Wait, this isn’t SmackDown but Rampage. 

WWE Nick Khan met with Disney CEO Bob Iger and ESPN President James Pitaro in Los Angeles to see if Mickey Mouse would be interested in Johnny Knoxville’s availability for SummerSlam. Dave Meltzer gave them a 7-star rating. Honestly, every company has rumored interests respecting obtaining WWE.

2. Stephanie McMahon Resigns

In a shocking turn of events this week, WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation on Tuesday, Jan. 10th. McMahon also served as chairwoman for the publicly-traded enterprise. Less than a week later, after her father returned from retirement. Stephanie & Nick Khan shared co-CEO responsibilities. Khan is currently the CEO. Her husband, Paul “Triple H” Levesque ( WWE Hall of Famer), maintained his creative position by creating instrumental storylines concerning weekly WWE television. McMahon addressed how confident she was in Nick and Paul. 

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter allegedly stated that Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon faced issues while working together within WWE. Their real-life relationship has been tense lately. Additional info details Nick Khan’s buffering role in keeping the peace between father & daughter.

3. Buyers are not interested in keeping Vince

It appears buyers won’t require Vince McMahon’s services following a sale. His astonishing resurgence back to WWE has verified people’s suspicions about the company being under new ownership. What role does Vince play if he remains with the company? Many wonders about an agreement where McMahon stays. 

Two notable suitors lead the way with news headlines publicizing that Disney and Comcast have shown interest. The WWE’s working history with NBC Universal makes sense. Vince receives creative control by selling to Saudi Arabia. This narrative is popular & or McMahon’s exit strategy is complete. Lots of intriguing perspectives only add to this cooperate soap opera. Fightful Select spoke to contacts representing Comcast and Disney, who heard such rumors. They reassured via a statement that no leading company would keep Vince McMahon’s services in any capacity if they could help it. 

4. Zayn Vs. Reigns at EC

More breaking news involving WWE. Xero News reports the wrestling leader is planning Roman Reigns versus Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber. 

” Told Roman against Sami is 100% locked for EC & nothing was said to be decided yet, if it is for one belt or both Titles. More toward a breakup transpired on Friday’s edition of SmackDown Zayn wrestled Kevin Owens. Paul Heyman assured ‘The Honorary Uce’ that Roman Reigns wants him to compete without help from the Bloodline. Thanks to Jimmy and Jey Uso & Solo Sikoa, Sami lost to KO via a disqualification. 

Zayn appears frustrated as weekly viewers see great TV where Sami eventually gets betrayed. It leads to a showdown with Reigns. WWE Elimination Chamber is live on Peacock Feb. 18th, from the Bell Centre in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 

5. WWE to split tag belts, Reigns might be dropping the WWE title soon

Xero News reported that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion- Roman Reigns will be dropping WWE Championship shortly. 

“There have been internal conversations about The Usos losing their Raw titles. What’s being discussed is whether Roman does drop his WWE Championship belt. If these internal pitches meet approvals from management, the earliest we could see concerns Raw 30. However, I’m stating this is merely talking atm.”
