WWE Backlash 2020 Results

Kick Off Show:

APOLLO CREWS (C) DEF. ANDRADE FOR THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

Andrade came out with Zelina Vega and Angel Garza and after Apollo Crews enters the ring, surprisingly Kevin Owens came out and joins the commentary table.

Match started with basic moves and Andrade performed Dragon Sleeper submission move at the apron and when both are at ringside Apollo executes the suplex on Andrade on ramp.

Apollo executed standing moonsault on Andrade two times but Garza interfere the referee during the pinfall and Owens got involved and gave stunner to Garza.

By this distraction, Andrade try to perform Hammerlock DDT but Crews reversed it to the Sit Out Powerbomb and get the victory.

Winner: Apollo Crews

MAIN CARD:

BAYLEY & SASHA BANKS (C) DEF. ALEXA BLISS & NIKKI CROSS VS THE IICONICS FOR THE WWE WOMEN’S TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Match started with one half member of all three teams started fighting with each other.

During the match IIconics executed the double team finisher at Alexa Bliss and tried to pin but Cross interrupts the pin, then Alexa and Cross executed the double team maneuver at Peyton Royce and then Alexa performed Twisted Bliss from the top rope and go for the pin but Sasha rolls her up for the surprise win.

Winner: Sasha Banks & Bayley

SHEAMUS DEF. JEFF HARDY

Match started with Hardy goes for a headlock to Sheamus and then they deliver some serious blows to each other. Sheamus tear Hardy’s transparent Shirt and throw him out of the ring.

Hardy clothesline Sheamus at the ringside and threw him inside the ring but Sheamus overpowers him and front suplex him in which Hardy hits his knee in the ring post and Hardy got hurt.

Sheamus performs Irish Curse backbreaker to Hardy and try to pin but hardy kick out, then Hardy performs Whisper in the wind and Sheamus kicks out too.

Sheamus try to execute Brogue Kick but Hardy reverses it and perform Slingblade on Sheamus. Then Hardy try to perform Swanton but Sheamus get to the top rope and throw Hardy in the ring and then execute White noise and goes for the pin but Hardy kick out again.

Now Sheamus goes for the submission but Hardy get to the ropes. Sheamus was completely dominating the entire match and Hardy was exhausted. Sheamus drags Hardy into the corner and try to perform White noise again but hardy reverses it and execute Twist of Fate followed up with Swanton Bomb and 1..2.. Sheamus put his feet on the ropes.

Now at the ringside Hardy tries to clothesline Sheamus but Sheamus gave Brogue Kick to Hardy at the ringside and threw him inside the ring and once again execute the Brogue Kick on Hardy and 1.2.3..!! Sheamus got the victory.

ASUKA (C) DEF. NIA JAX FOR THE RAW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

At the start of the match Asuka goes for the submission but Jax overpowers her throughout the match and powerbombs her but Asuka kick out.

Then Jax went shoulder first to the ring post and then Asuka holds her for submission through the ropes and pull her out of the ring and they continue fighting with each other at ringside till the ref counts to 10 and Asuka retains the title because of double count out.

Winner: Asuka (Double Count Out)

BRAUN STROWMAN (C) DEF. JOHN MORRISON & THE MIZ FOR THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

At the start of the match Strowman dominated the match but after few minutes Miz and Morrison took control over Strowman.

Miz and Morrison perform a double team springboard skull crushing finale on Strowman and Morrison goes for the pin but Miz interrupts the pin then Miz realise he have done mistake then again Morrison went for the pin but Strowman kick out and execute running powerslam on both Miz and Morrison one by one and got the pinfall victory.

Winner: Braun Strowman

DREW MCINTYRE (C) DEF. BOBBY LASHLEY FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP

Before the match even started Lashley locks McIntyre in the Full Nelson, referee calls out other referees to pull Lashley away from McIntyre. Finally Lashley releases the hold and ref rings the bell.

Lashley was in full control over McIntyre and he rams McIntyre ribs into the ring post then threw him inside the ring. Now McIntyre slowly gained momentum and starts his offense on Lashley.

McIntyre tried to perform Tombstone but Lashley reverses it to Angle Lock then Drew reverses it and locks him up in Kimura Lock but Lashley hold the ropes.

Now Lashley performs spear at Drew but he kicked out at two, now Lana came out and interferes and get up in the apron and Lashley got distracted and McIntyre hits him with the Claymore and 1.2.3. McIntyre retains the title.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

STREET PROFITS (C) VS THE VIKING RAIDERS FOR THE WWE RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Before the match even started both the teams brawl outside the arena at Parking lot where Ivar slams one of the street profit member on Strowman’s car wind shield.

There brawl continues at the backstage where Akira Tozawa comes up with his biker gang and say that whatever you can do, we will do better and their brawl continues in a cinematic yet funny way.

Result: No Contest

RANDY ORTON DEF. EDGE

Match started in a MSG like feel and the environment of this match was very unique with referee have a different dress code.

At the start of the match both men lock horns with some technical holds but Orton is always one step ahead of Edge and continue to tease him after every wrestling move.

Edge headbutted Orton by which Orton gets busted open and Edge executes RKO on Orton but he kick out, then Orton throws edge outside the ring and rams him into the steel steps and then puts him through announce table and threw him inside the ring and went for the pin but Edge kicks out at two.

Orton tried to perform three amigos but get interrupted by two only and Edge reverses it and perform the same move on Orton.

Orton tried to perform his famous DDT from the ropes but this time is from the top rope but edge reverses it to Edgecution and he went for the pin and 1.2.. Kick Out.

Edge tries to lock Orton in Crossface but he reverses it to a Angle Slam and 1.2.. Kick Out. After this Orton tried to set up RKO but Edge counters it to Unprettier and again Orton counters and try to execute RKO but once again Edge counters it to Edge O Matic …1..2.. Kick Out.

Now Edge sets Orton up for spear but Orton ducks it and once again he tried RKO but again Edge counters it to Unprettier.. 1..2.. Kick Out.

Orton performed Pedigree on Edge ..1..2.. Kick Out. Now Edge performed Rock bottom on Orton and again he kick out at two.

Now Edge tries to roll up Orton and in between this Orton counters and execute RKO on Edge and 1..2.. Kick Out. Edge sets up for spear and he successfully executed and once again he perform Spear but Orton kicks out at two. Edge was in disbelief after Orton kicks out at two.

Orton once again performs RKO and 1..2.. Kick Out.. Holy S**t. how many times they kick out..??

Edge tries to lock Orton up with his new submission hold but Orton low blows him that ref didn’t saw and execute the Punt kick and 1..2..3. Orton got the victory.
