Backlash 2020 was completely sold on one single match and that match was Edge vs. Randy Orton termed as ‘The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’. However, the match itself delivered the promise made by WWE, it was actually one of the greatest match in the recent memories. But, other than this match, the entire card was just trainwreck with few exceptions like McIntyre Vs. Lashley and Sheamus Vs. Jeff Hardy.

The worst match on the card was Strowman defending his Universal Title against The Miz and John Morrison in a Handicap match. Strowman has been considered as one of the worst Universal Champion of all time and this match was just a filler in between the ongoing rivalry between Bray Wyatt and Strowman. It didn’t help because things were far too comedic here for a Universal Championship match, which is why Braun Strowman’s title run isn’t quite connecting.

The Miz and John Morrison dominated the entire match until they argued about who would go for the pinfall, allowing Braun to get the win. The champion was made to look too weak until his big comeback, which stopped this from ever being a competitive match.
