Rhea Ripley (c) Vs. Charlotte Flair – RAW Women’s Championship

Right off the bat, Charlotte Flair tries to get in the head of Rhea Ripley by snatching the title from the referee, tossing it to Ripley, and getting a quick pinfall to almost end it. Just like at Wrestlemania last year, Flair has control of the young champion. Flair has that crazy look in her eyes as she tries to get quick pinfalls to wear out Ripley’s knee. Ripley is looking like a real underdog throughout the match. It seemed like fans got a new champion when Flair hit Natural Selection to get the two and a half count.

But Ripley’s knee is damaged, and no matter what, Flair has the advantage. Flair is even busting out some moves in homage to Andrade El Idolo with double moonsaults and sharp elbows. Flair pulls out the Figure-Four, and it feels like a flashback to last year’s Wrestlemania finish. They end up outside of the ring, and Ripley uses the announced table as a weapon to get disqualified. Both continue to fight until Ripley hits the Riptide to hold her title up high. Flair smiles and tells her she’s learning.

Winner: Charlotte Flair via DQ still Raw Women’s Championship Rhea Ripley

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
