Roman Reigns(c) vs Edge

It was only a matter of time before Edge would return for his one on one showdown with Roman.  The timing of his return is almost as perfect as the timing of this ppv.  Edge is completely over with the fans and he picked his spot at a time when Roman thought he had disposed of all challengers.  This feud leading up to Wrestlemania was great before and after Daniel Bryan was added and they have picked up right where they left off.  Edge brings an intensity to the match that rivals Roman in the ring and for the first time during Romans reign as champion, there is a legitimate threat for him.  Edge has gotten the better of Roman more than anyone else has.

The Roman heel experiment has been great so far, but without fans the ability to generate heat hasn’t been an option.  Going over on Edge here is where that happens.  Majority says that the Tribal Chief/Bloodline story has been the best thing in WWE and to remove Roman from the top spot now would be foolish.  It would be a great pop for the fans with Edge winning, but it’s not his time.

Winner:  Roman Reigns retains.

Only one title change, and even that is 50/50 in my opion on this evening.  I think this show will focus more on being fun for the fans and building towards the bigger show next month, Summerslam.  Expect some surprises to pop up as WWE pulls out all the tricks to get ready for this new chapter coming out of the pandemic.  I look foward to a great show, and hope you all do to.  Feel free to debate with me about my choices here, I always welcome friendly banter.  Enjoy folks!
