Kevin Owens Vs. Riddle Vs. Ricochet Vs. John Morrison Vs. Drew McIntyre Vs. King Nakamura Vs. Seth Rollins Vs. Big E – Men’s MITB Ladder Match
Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins vs Big E vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Riddle vs Drew McIntyre vs Ricochet vs John MorrisonWe got a lot of fan favorites in this match with Riddle and Nakamura getting some big time pops from the fans while it appears Drew has started to get the negative fan reactions. The action went 100 miles an hour as soon as the bell rings and all these men went to work. We get an early interaction between Seth and Johnny Drip Drip, arguing about Johnny’s hair. Fun stuff. That gets broken up by a Riddle kick to Seth and a MASSIVE flip on Morrison from Ricochet. Big E and Drew face off in the middle of the ring which ends with Big E spearing Drew to the outside. As the ring clears Kevin Owens makes the first climbing attempt, but it is quickly thwarted by Shinsuke who suplexes KO on to a fallen ladder. Morrison finds his way back in the ring with King Nak and he gives us our first big spot off a ladder when he does a spinning cross body on Shinsuke.
For that, Nakamura returns the favor by putting Johnny Drip Drip in a hanging triangle on top of the ladder. He then gets saved by Seth Rollins with a flying knee to Shinsuke which leads to a temporary team up between the kings of Drip as they use the ladder on everyone that enters the ring. Matt Riddle took a nasty bump to his arm from a samoan drop by Morrison. The team up continues as Seth and Johnny work over Kevin Owens and Ricochet on the outside. KO fights back and finds himself in the ring and eventually takes both men out with a springboard moonsault to the ladder they were holding.
For his efforts though, he is given a suplex to the side of the ladder standing upright. BRUTAL SPOT! Here comes Drew to assault Seth and Morrison in the ring. He was able to fight them off for awhile but the numbers game was too much which ended when Seth finally turned on Johnny Drip Drip by smacking him with the ladder. Ricochet, Shinsuke, Big E and Riddle all stormed the ring and dispatched Seth with Riddle hitting a RKO that sent Seth out of the ring. Drew cleans house with a double claymore and an Alabama slam to Ricochet on the ladder followed by a top rope dive taking out the rest of the contestants in this match. As he enters the ring, Seth is waiting for him but he ends up getting a claymore for his troubles as well. As Drew climbs the ladder, with nobody there to stop him, he is attacked by Jinder Mahal and his partners as they wear him out on the rampway with a chair before dragging him to the back, eliminating Drew from this match. Back in the ring, Riddle is climbing the ladder and is joined by Ricochet who knocks Riddle down. As Riddle tips Ricochet off, Ricochet uses the drop and the rope to hit a springboard moonsault to the outside on everyone else. Matt attempts to climb the ladder again, but is met with Ricochet again.
As they are duking it out, Seth and Big E make their way back in the ring. Big E and Ricochet both get RKO’s from Riddle but then gets taken out by Seth, who is then taken out by Nakamura with a GTS. As Shinsuke climbs the ladder, Morrison blinds him with the drip stick. Morrison gets taken out by a stunner from a returning Kevin Owens. Stunner to Johnny. Stunner to Nakamura. Pop up powerbomb to Ricochet. Kevin speeds up the ladder but receives a powerbomb to the outside through the set up ladder. HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!Seth takes his time setting up the ladder as nobody is in the ring to pose a threat. As he reaches the top, Big E stops him as he climbs the ladder with him. Seth gets the Big Ending off the ladder. Big E storms up the ladder with nobody left to stop him and takes the briefcase.
Winner: Big E
