5. The wrong man left World Champion at Bound for Glory.

At Bound for Glory, Moose stole the Impact World Championship, and it was a mistake. For all of 2021, Impact has had wrestlers from AEW take their world title and finally found the right guy to win it back in Josh Alexander. But all that was ruined by having Moose win it. No matter how great the promo was and how much he’s worked for it Moose was not the best choice. A controversial figure that should not be the face of the company. Josh Alexander will still be in the hunt but this episode of Impact should be night one of the Walking Weapon era.

4. Trey Miguel is finally where he belongs.

X-Division champion and doing open challenges where Trey Miguel belongs. The man has been stuck for months and at Bound for Glory finally won the big one. This week we saw Trey Miguel wrestle Junior Heavyweight legend Rocky Romero in one hell of an X-Division Championship match. Seeing his new Miles Morales type of entrance shows that Impact has big plans for the former Rascal.

3. The IInspiration has arrived and we love it.

It feels like forever that we have seen the most Iconic women’s tag team back on television. And their first appearances in Impact Wrestling have been iconic, to say the least. The wrestling world just does not feel right without Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee away from our televisions. Like most of their division, The IInspiration are in good hands, and the money moments these two will make will be endless it is only the beginning.

2. The wrong woman left with the Knockouts Championship.

No disrespect to the legend Mickie James; she is a future Hall of Famer. She will go down in history as one of the greatest women wrestlers in history. But she was not the right winner of the title match. Deonna Purrazzo held that Knockouts Championship for over 400 days and held that division on her back through rough times to only lose to James. Beating Mickie James would put Purrazzo on a higher level as the Knockout of the entire company. Hopefully, when Purrazzo comes back, her momentum doesn’t stop, but this loss could hurt her. In the meantime, we could see some dream matches for Mickie James.

1. The very lackluster main event.

Ace Austin and Chris Sabin had one banger of a main event, but it did not achieve much. I feel like the entire episode revolved around Moose and his new challengers on the horizon. This main event felt like it could have been in the middle of the show because it was just another typical Ace Austin match. Ace Austin teased a match, Christopher Daniels, a few weeks ago, and that was the match he should have been eliminated by the KISS Demon in the Call Your Shot battle royal. But now, with the AEW partnership is coming to an end, Impact missed out on another big match that could build Ace Austin as the next top star of Impact.
