Andrade Is A Huge Prescence
Last week’s shock debut of Andrade El Idolo saw him cut a short and vague promo before leaving, whetting fans appetite to see what the former CMLL megastar can do in AEW after his somewhat dissatisfactory WWE run.
It was announced a week prior that Jim Ross will interview the ex-La Sombra on Dynamite on June 18th. This pre-announce is rare as very scarcely are the interviews announced ahead of time, this indicates AEW are building up and have big plans for Andrade.

This is almost reminiscent of the signings of huge sports stars whose appearances are hugely advertised and hyped. This further tells us he is a big deal, with a cocky, arrogant heel feeling he needs the treatment he deserves in being so pampered. We could see this presented in a similar manner to that of Montel Vontavious Porter’s (MVP)’s WWE debut in the mid-2000s when treated like a legit sporting icon. Andrade is clearly presented as a big deal, which shows the early faith the promotion has in him, giving him a long build to his arrival.
