(Report) Is Samoa Joe returning to NXT?

WWE shock the pro wrestling world when they reveal the name of the released wrestlers on April 2021. They released several top names in the name of budget cuts and Samoa Joe was the biggest name in the list. Samoa Joe was out of in-ring action due to injury and he was the part of commentary team from quite sometime. After his release speculations started that maybe he will go back to IMPACT Wrestling or join AEW. But, reports are suggesting something else only as Joe is most likely going back to NXT.
According to Fightful Select, NXT officials have confirmed that Samoa Joe was present at the WWE Performance Center this week.
“UPDATE: In an update on this story, officials in NXT have confirmed that Samoa Joe was briefly at the WWE Performance Center this week. We were not told why he was there. We did get confirmation there have been pitches within NXT to use Samoa Joe, however.”
Samoa Joe is a two time NXT Champion and he didn’t find quite success in the main roster. He had some lackluster feud with the top names like Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles and Roman Reigns. It’ll be great to see Joe back in NXT. Recently, we already witnessed that several wrestlers are going back to NXT like Finn Balor & Breezango.
