Adam Cole is one of the hottest names in pro wrestling industry. Cole officially had his last match this past weekend with his former best friend Kyle ‘O’ Reily. Reports and rumors were circulating that Cole’s contract expired on August 22nd 2021 midnight, but that’s not the case.

According to Fightful, Cole contract will actually expire on August 27, 2021 and WWE is still chasing him with a new contract offer. So, the rumors and reports of him joining AEW this week are false.

Cole’s current WWE contract (with the short-term extension) is actually up on Friday, August 27. With All Elite Wrestling filming both Rampage and Dynamite on Wednesday, that would make it impossible for him to legally appear. We’ve been told by WWE sources that they expect another offer within the company to come Cole’s way this week.

After CM Punk made his shocking return to pro wrestling the entire landscape of pro wrestling has been changed. Bryan is on his way to join AEW as well, that’s the reason fans are believing that Cole will join AEW as soon as possible. We just have to wait and see that this time WWE will try to keep their one of biggest stars or they’ll lose him to AEW just like they lost several talents like Malakai Black, Christian and CM Punk.
