AEW – Gloom, Doom & Dynamite (11th May 2021)
-Commercial Break-
Up next is a main event.
Match #6. Powerhouse Hobbs & Brian Cage vs. 10 & Hangman Page
I actually like Hangman Page. He’s a legit star. Too bad he is the only thing worth watching in this so-called “Main Event.” Hopefully something happens.
Page is starting off hot and heavy. This guy has energy and athleticism that pro wrestling desperately needs. I haven’t seen as much of him as I have Darby and Cassidy but what I have seen I do truly enjoy. He has great timing. That’s a mark of true talents throughout wrestling history. TIMING! Hangman has it.
OH MY GOD! ANOTHER PICTURE IN PICTURE BREAK!
Take a break OR DON’T! At least they are doing it when Hangman isn’t in the ring.
And we are “back” to the Dynamite main event. Someone please shoot everyone in the ring minus Hangman. Why is he wasting his time in a match like this? He should be in a great singles match against a worthy opponent. Bad booking again, AEW. Putting a stud in the ring with 3 pieces of garbage in a match that in no way helps to build him up as the singles beast he actually is.
Thank Jesus for Alcohol. It makes events like this at least…actually no. Not even the finest of aged Scotch could have made this show enjoyable. Two minutes left and I cannot wait to take a piss and then listen to some Waylon Jennings.
Hangman makes the save and gets tossed to the outside.
Hook comes in to meddle and to distract the ref. He does as Starks tossees Cage the FTW belt. Cage throws it back. Ricky yells at him on the apron and slaps Cage hard. Cage chases Starks out and it leaves Hobbs on his own. It soon becomes too much as Hobbs gets a Buckshot Lariat and we get the 1-2-3.
Winners: Hangman Page & 10
God Bless the actual legit workers of AEW. May you wind up in a legit promotion with proper booking in the future.
That’s about it for this edition of Doom, Gloom & Dynamite.
