Following SummerSlam, Roman Reigns continues to maintain a strong surge of momentum, maintaining his position as the Tribal Chief and reigning as the undisputed Universal Champion. However, it’s worth noting that even the dominant force at the helm endured some physical strain during that significant bout.

Regrettably, Reigns suffered an injury while competing in his SummerSlam match. He valiantly defended both his championship title and his esteemed role as the Tribal Chief against Jey Uso, leaving no doubt that he exerted maximum effort during the contest.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed that Reigns suffered an injury at a very early stage of the match. Notwithstanding this setback, he persisted in the Tribal Combat match, showcasing his unwavering dedication even in the face of injury.

“He’s gonna be back Friday. Roman Reigns got hurt in that match.

“Roman Reigns got hurt in the match, and I haven’t watched the beginning of the match over again, but I heard it was relatively early.

“I don’t know the nature of the injury, I just know he worked the match hurt. He worked the match hurt, he got hurt early in the match.”

Following SummerSlam, Roman Reigns was absent from the press conference, with Paul Heyman representing him solo. This departure from the initial arrangement occurred when Byron Saxton initially intended to introduce both of them together at the conference but later learned that only Paul Heyman would be addressing the press as the Wise Man.

Roman Reigns is scheduled to appear on this week’s episode of SmackDown, indicating his ongoing involvement in live shows. However, this doesn’t necessarily imply his participation in physical contests. His status as a part-time wrestler has historically allowed for extended breaks between matches.
