Raquel Gonzales (c) Vs. Dakota Kai – NXT Womens’s Championship
The bell rings and both girls just stare at each for a moment. The stare ends with Dakota Kai slapping Raquel, setting her off which leads to Kai getting tossed in the corner but before she can do too much damage Kai escapes and goes to the outside. Raquel tries to bring her in the ring but Dakota turns it in to a arm drag and submission. Gonzalez lifts her up to break the hold and after a quick kick to Gonzalez head, Dakota goes back to the outside to buy herself some time. At the count of 8, she slides back in the ring but is met with a barrage of offense from Raquel with multiple slams. Dakota tries to hit a top rope cross body but it gets reversed by Gonzalez as she rolls through. After a little more offense, Dakota eventually gets the upper hand and hits Raquel with the corner kick but Gonzalez rolls outside to avoid being pinned.
By the time Dakota gets her in the ring, she is only able to get a 2 count. Both girls continue to go back and forth with big time offense. Dakota with multiple kicks and Gonzalez with tosses and suplexes, there are no clear advantages happening throughout this match. Once the action slows down, Raquel goes for her chokeslam powerbomb but ends up getting tossed to the outside with a reversal by Dakota Kai. Dakota rolls her in the ring and lands a double foot stomp from the top rope that only gets her a 2 count. As Dakota picks her up to continue the offense, Raquel starts a comeback that leads to Kai getting slammed in the corner. On the top rope, Dakota fights Gonzalez off and ends up hitting a pump kick to Gonzalez with her head trapped.
As Dakota goes for another corner kick with Raquel up top, her foot gets caught by Gonzalez who then pulls her up and hits her with a top rope chokeslam powerbomb that puts Kai down for the 1, 2, 3 and Raquel Gonzalez retains.As Gonzalez celebrates her win, she is interrupted by Kay Lee Ray who gets a huge reaction from the crowd.
