It’s time to discuss the top 5 headlines for this week in pro wrestling.
1. Randy Orton Return update:
Xero News reported that Randy Orton is returning to WWE for in-ring action.
“Orton wants more time in the ring. The 14-time Champion does not appear finished by any means. A source discussed the likelihood of Randy Orton returning at any point now. We may see him regarding Money In The Bank & SummerSlam.
PW Chronicle reported that Rev Theory is releasing a newer version of Randy Orton’s theme song ” Voices due to come out on Friday, June 30th. Does it mean Orton appears via Friday Night SmackDown on Fox or MITB, as both emanate from London’s O2 Arena!!!
2. Bray Wyatt Return Update.
Xero News via Let Us Talk To Yeah provided huge updates on Bray Wyatt’s return.
The teases have begun if you noticed random skulls appearing as background during promo segments on Raw & SmackDown. There’s a reason why. Stuff involving White Rabbit & QR Codes are telling signs. WWE’s production trucks are reportedly featuring FunHouse props. He’s returning under a new persona. Wyatt looks to be a Raw Superstar. Bray’s expected back before SummerSlam and will restart his story with Uncle Howdy.
Circa WB-Erik Rowan tweeted by posting a picture of his famed sheep mask. He dawned it as a member of The Wyatt Family. It has fueled rumors of a reunion.
3. CM Punk – Elite situation.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter said tensions remained high between CM Punk & The Elite.
Here’s what they expressed via their site; One top name went home following Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite in a bad mood. Certain key personnel was separated & not on the same programs. It’s due to fear of Punk’s return. They describe this ordeal as not ending happily & in other words. WON used ‘Ticking Bomb in AEW. ‘
4. WWE shows interest in signing AEW stars/ Hook & Hangman Page in 2024.
Slice Wrestling stated WWE is interested in signing AEW star ” Hangman ” Adam Page in 2024.
” Vince McMahon likes the prospect of adding him to the roster next year. WWE sources informed SW. ” Both McMahon & Triple H love his look & ring skills. They view him as an integral player for WWE. “
BWE/ Cultaholic also reported WWE’s interest in signing AEW star Hook.
According to Better Wrestling Experience, High-ranking admirers like Triple H & Shawn Michaels are fans of Hook. Sources mentioned that Taz (Hook’s Father) wants him in WWE.
5. Roman Reigns might appear on NXT.
Xero News; Roman Reigns could appear in NXT as a One-OFF appearance.
Reigns to NXT might happen in the future. It would include a segment/promo. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion may visit his old stomping grounds. Having Roman on their show will pop a sizeable rating number. Early discussions have commenced & don’t be surprised if it happens. ”
