The Wrestlebuddy team wants to commemorate professional wrestling’s top ten wrestlers for 2022. We have looked at all promotions when compiling this magnificent list. It’s time to spotlight these incredible athletes. 

Let’s say that each lady was impressionable concerning career accomplishments. One-by-one, they denoted immeasurable success. The wrestlers’ brand became identifiable with the respective audiences & everyone on this list propelled themselves within their esteemed promotions. 

So who made our list? 

1. Bianca Belair

She’s currently the WWE Raw Women’s Champion. “ The EST of WWE “ has enjoyed an impressive 254 days in counting thus far. Memorable highlights include Bianca defeating Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 to capture the prestigious Title! Belair’s unwavering dominance resumed in June’s Hell in a Cell event, and Bianca survived both Asuka & Becky Lynch via a Triple threat Championship match. Additional victories further proved why she’s the best right now. Listen to these triumphant results, Belair beats Carmella-Money in the Bank, and She defeats Becky Lynch again at SummerSlam. 

The Champ leads Alexa Bliss & Alexa Bliss against Damage Control (Bayley, Iyo Sky, & Dakota Kai during Clash at the Castle. Her wins versus Bayley one at their Championship Ladder match via Extreme Rules, & a Last Woman Standing Match circa Crown Jewel! Last, Team Bianca’s heroics when her squad outlasted Team Bayley respecting the Survivor Series WarGames contest. Other accolades Belair has been placing 1st in the Wellness Class; & 2nd in Fitness Class for World Beauty Fitness & Fashion! That’s why she is ranked number one!

2. Jordynne Grace

The Impact Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace is enjoying her second reign as Champion & continues to thrill wrestling fans with her unreal in-ring power. Grace arose as a top performer with Impact Wrestling. This gifted athlete made recent history in 2022 by entering the Inaugural Knockouts X Division Match at Hard to Kill! While possessing the Impact Digital Media Championship, she encountered Matt Cardona via No Surrender. Jordynne had broken down barriers regarding intergender matches. 

These prolific moments stood out like competing in the Ultimate X match for the X Division belt. She was involved in a mixed tag team with W. Morrissey. June’s Slammiversary, Grace won Impact’s first Queen of the Mountain match. Notable adversaries she faced were Tasha Steelz, Deonna Purrazzo & Rachel Ellering as part of Ric Flair’s Last Match spectacle. More qualified challengers stepped up to claim her Championship. Masha Slamovich & Giselle Shaw find out why Grace soon became the franchise player for Impact after the powerhouse defeated them. Grace & Mickie James are feuding now. 

3. Masha Slamovich

A lady who took wrestling to unexpected heights in 2022 is Masha Slamovich. The Russian-American phenomenon awed the wrestling community with her undefeated streak while competing under the Impact Wrestling brand. 

She had everybody talking after gaining an upset against Deonna Purrazzo & becoming the No. 1 contender to Jordynne Grace’s Knockouts Championship. There have remained multiple classic bouts. Slamovich wrestled Grace for the Title at Bound For Glory! Marsha was in action opposite ten other opponents & as it concerns the 1st ETU Keys to the East Champion tournament. Guess what? she was victorious. PWI ranked Slamovich number 110 out of 500, correlating with the best singles wrestlers!

4. Mandy Rose

Mandy Rose has reinvigorated her wrestling career by returning to the WWE NXT brand in 2021. There Rose created one of the more dominant alliances with Gigi Dolan & Jacy Jayne. These three talented beauties evolved into “ Toxic Attraction! “ While each deserves credit, it was under Mandy’s illustrious guidance that NXT’s new lethal trio would historically alter the 

landscape. Rose changed her appearance by dying that trademarked blonde hair to an equally alluring color-brown. Let us explain the significance of it. Rose was allowed to show fans as she introduced a darker/vindicating side concerning herself. If WWE desired villainous characters, Rose must’ve listened. It worked perfectly for Mandy, Gigi, & Jacy. On Oct. 26th, 2021 (Halloween Havoc). Rose proved her distractors wrong & reconfirmed what everyone saw. Mandy defeated Raquel Gonzalez, via now Rodriguez & became NXT Women’s Champion via a Trick or Treat Street Fight. The lady is a good wrestler. Sure she’s hot. I love doughnuts & that’s thanks to her & Sonya. Here’s the deal, Rose can step inside a wrestling ring & stand up with the best of them. The woman demonstrated I’m more than just another pretty face whose body looks great. Put respect on her name, people. We should mention that her friends Dolan & Jayne captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles on that same historic night. Mandy led Toxic Attraction with Dakota Kai into war in Dec. 2021 at WarGames. 2022 continued this impressive & superior journey regarding Rose as Champion. 

New Year’s Evil, she beat both Cora Jade & Raquel Gonzalez to retain the title. Can Mandy survive four challengers & the Champ can? At Stand & Deliver. Oh, she delivered alright. Just ask Jade, Kay Lee Ray (Alba Fyre) & Io Shirai (Iyo Sky) about that. During this successful conquest, Rose crushed the hopes of Roxanne Perez, Wendy Choo, & Zoey Stark. Mandy unified both Women’s NXT Championships ( NXT UK & NXT Women’s titles) when Rose defeated Meiko Satomura & Blair Davenport via a Triple Threat Matchup circa Worlds Collide. The Champ’s streak continued at Halloween Havoc 2022 & Mandy defeated Alba Fyre. 

Mandy Rose enjoyed this astonishing feat of reigning as NXT Women’s Champion for one entire year! Unfortunately, concerning Rose, she was beaten by Roxanne on Tuesday, December 13, that edition of NXT. It ended her staggering 413-day Championship reign! The following day (Wed. Dec. 14, 22): news broke about Rose’s release from WWE. Due to Fan content, she was doing. Regardless Mandy Rose should be on anyone’s list. She improved her overall career by making that NXT return. PWI ranked her number 21 of the top 150 female wrestlers in their 2022 PWI Women’s 150! We respect & do agree Mandy belongs here.

5. Toni Storm 

The former WWE star Toni Storm created an immediate buzz upon arriving at AEW. She debuted by winning the Owen Hart qualifying match on a March 30th episode of Dynamite this year. Toni defeated The Bunny. Storm then began ascending through the ranks with All-Elite Wrestling. Toni beat Jamie Hayter. She also routed Britt Baker during Road Rager. 

The former NXT UK Champion opposed the AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa as part of NWJP & AEW joint PPV titled Forbidden Door. Several matches showcased Storm’s talent. Not only did Toni flourish, but she won the Interim Ladies World Title via All Out! Toni outlasted Hayter, Baker, & Hikaru Shida. The tough Aussie defended the belt contra to Athena, Serena Deeb, & Baker at Grand Slam. Her rivalry with Hayter was remarkable. Their match Full Gear match remains favored in the fan’s eyes.

6. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch frequently connects with fans universally. ‘ Big Time Becks ‘ successfully returned circa 2021, but 2022 could have easily topped that previous year. 

The Man-Becky Lynch bested the Hall of Famer & former Women’s Champion Lita during Crown Jewel. Wrestling historians describe that as their dream matchup. Nobody can exhilarate crowds quite like Becky! The WWE star beat Doudrop & regained her Raw Women’s Title ( Royal Rumble). It’s her Irish perseverance. Honestly, we haven’t viewed one bad match that includes Lynch. Her past rivalry with Bianca Belair, the current Raw Women’s Champion, evoked magically on TV.

Becky’s highlight reel progressed even more. She defended against Belair ( WrestleMania 38) & SummerSlam 2022. Lynch was on Bianca’s team for Survivor Series Wargames. They ended up winning too. When The Man comes around: things get real. Becky is a 2-time Raw Women’s Champion & 4-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, & 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble Winner. We’re not surprised that Becky made our list.

7. Mickie James

Mickie James quickly evolved as Wrestling’s more prominent superstar during the early 2000s. The 6-time WWE Women’s Champion & four-time TNA/ Impact Knockouts title-holder. Like any great wrestler, she kept reinventing herself throughout her legendary career. James completed more history when Mickie competed in the 2022 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble match as Knockouts Champion. She entered at NO. 20. 

Currently, the perception is this will be her retirement run with Impact. It’s called “ The Last Rodeo. “James defended the Knockouts Title versus Tasha Steelz (Sacrifice). Mickie feuded against Chelsea Green. The future Hall of Famer beat both Taylor Wilde & Mia Yim (Ocean Drive). 

8. Jamie Hayter

Since returning to AEW, Jamie Hayter has re-emerged as one genuine superstar. The AEW World Women’s Champion sought respect by establishing herself immediately in All-Elite Wrestling’s Women’s Division. In 2021, she enforced for Dr. Britt Baker & Rebel & had an allegiance to them. Jaime did not wait. The English athlete took her opportunities. Hayter made opponents pay heavily. She gained victories over Anna Jay when competing in the TBS Championship Tournament. 

Jaime and Thunder Rosa battled in the semifinals. Hayter began winning again. She defeated Sky Blue in the Owen Hart Tournament qualifier. Hayter had unfinished business with previous Champion Thunder Rosa at Battle of the Belts 3. Jamie desired to be Champion. It came near at All Out! AEW Full Gear saw Hayter defeats Toni Storm to secure the AEW World Title! She was ranked No. 47 out of the top 100 female wrestlers in PWI Women’s 100 list in 2020.

9. Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane has revolutionized Women’s wrestling internationally. Her decorated status within Japan & North America demonstrates the value Sane possesses for this industry. Here are a few exemplary achievements; one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Asuka, NXT Women’s Champion. 

Multiple title reigns in Stardom. 2022 was a pivotal year as Kairi returned to the Japanese promotion again. Her come-back match involved Kairi teaming Mayu Iwatani regarding the World Climax: The Best in March. Sane & Starlight Kid tore the house down at World Climax: The Top. It was memorable because she had ruptured her eardrum. Various detailed moments occurred when circa Stardom Flashing Champions-it showcased Kairi & Tam Nakano, “ The White Knights, “ & would defeat Queen’s Quest ( Utami Hayashishita & Miya Amasaki). This November, Kairi conquered Maya Iwatani to win the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion in a jointly promoted card by NJPW & Stardom’s Historic X-Over main-event bout.

10. Kamille

Imagine visualizing a pro-wrestling Greek Goddess. That lady is NWA Women’s Champion, “ The Brickhouse “ Kamille.

She’s very imposing & there’s a mystique with her. If wrestling promotions wanted a star to headline their programming? This woman epitomizes greatness. In 2018, the tall & athletic powerhouse made her extraordinary debut for NWA! Kamille was Nick Aldis’s insurance policy! Her actions spoke louder than verbal communication at the time. A silent persona captivated people’s attention. Kamille would go on to talk in interviews. She was a member of the stable called, Strictly Business. Fast-forward to 2022, Kamille’s preeminence has stayed intact. 

Kamille successfully defended the Championship opposite both Kylie Ray & Chelsea Green in a Triple Threat Championship Match at 2022’s Crockett Cup emanating in Nashville, Tn. She also defeated KiLynn King to retain the Women’s Title circa NWA’s Always Ready PPV in Knoxville, TN. Later at NWA 74, Kamille overwhelmed Taya Valkyrie. A match for Lucha Libre AAA featured Kamille challenging Valkyrie for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. These noteworthy stats speak for themselves.
