1. Is William Regal coming back to WWE?

It appears that William Regal might be returning to WWE. In March, this former NXT GM & WWE IC Champion debuted for All-Elite Wrestling at AEW Revolution! Since his debut, Regal formed a group called “ The Blackpool Combat Club( Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, & Yuta Wheeler).

Thanks to having experienced stars like Danielson & Castagnoli, the faction won great popularity with their legendary leader William Regal. Fans saw the BCC win gold in both AEW & ROH. Maxwell Jacob Friedman threatened Moxley’s Championship reign. Regal betrayed Mox by helping MJF become AEW World Champion at Full Gear. An infuriated Jon Moxley warned his mentor to run away & never return via that following Dynamite. The next edition featured MJF with Regal. AEW Champ MJF would hit Regal using brass knuckles. His Lordship was placed on a stretcher & taken out of the ring afterward. Danielson was by Regal’s side inside the ambulance. Many felt this was to write him off of TV for AEW. Fightful Select disclosed that talent within Tony Khan’s company feels Regal’s contract is up regarding December of this year. Speculation grew at a Wrestle Cade event last weekend. Also, PWInsider reported Regal & Triple H should be teaming up soon. All signs point to WWE & remember, it is not official yet. We all realize how close of friends both Regal & Triple H are.

2. Roman Reigns versus Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble?

There is more breaking news surrounding the 2023 Royal Rumble. The current plan will have Roman Reigns defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Kevin Owens.

The website Wrestling News Co. first reported this news. WWE has tremendous plans concerning a matchup between Reigns & KO. Additional long-term planning as it pertains to the Bloodline storyline would figure heavily into their plans for WrestleMania. Now, after the Men’s Survivor Series Match WarGames match. Rumors went around about “ The Head of the Table” not appreciating a stiff slap to Reign’s eardrum. He allegedly expressed that sentiment backstage. I’m all for a Roman versus Owens encounter again!

3. Rock-winning Royal Rumble/ Challenging Roman Reigns at Mania?

Via Xero News, The epic dream match might be happening after all. According to their sources, The Rock might be the last entrant in 2023’s Royal Rumble premium live event. Fans & superstars alike have long desired such a compelling Clash between two family titans-Roman Reigns versus Rock when Mania goes Hollywood. There’s a strong possibility that “ The Great One “ could enter at No. 30, maybe No. 40. We would see a scenario where Rock wins & he challenges Roman for the belts at WrestleMania 39. I want to watch Roman wrestle Rock.

4. Tegan Nox returns to WWE

Triple H vows to right the wrongs of the older administration by re-signing talent that got away until; The Game took over. Yet another superstar made her exciting return to the WWE. Tegan Nox came out to assist Liv Morgan against an attack from Damage Control ( Bayley, Dakota Kai, & IYO Sky ) on Friday, Dec. 2nd, edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

The company released Nox back on November 18th, 2021. Tegan had formerly teamed with Shotzi for the blue brand before departing WWE. Her Highlights are feuding against NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray ( Alba Fyre). Teaming & eventually becoming a rival to Dakota Kai. They challenged the former Women’s Tag Team Champions, The Kabuki Warriors ( Asuka & Kairi Sane) & faced another pair of ladies tag-team champs Natalya & Tamina. Nox encountered Io Shirai ( IYO Sky) when she held the Women’s NXT Title. She shares history with two of the current Damage Control members. I’m happy for Tegan & welcome back.

5. WWE is doing a live event in India next month.

Multiple news media outlets picked up a huge news story. One such respected publication was PWInsider, which reported that WWE would be making its anticipated comeback to India in 2023. The date is Wednesday, January 18th. Stars from SmackDown will make this historic trip. The most identifiable wrestling/sports entertainment brand returns after five years to one of its best & most loyal fan bases.

Jinder Mahal is a former WWE Champion who wrestled the CCO at the Classic Supershow Showdown of the WWE circa December 2017. Triple H defeated Jinder. Mahal is originally from Canada & of Indian descent. The company also produced the “ Superstar Spectacular! “ via a television special in India. Their goal was to engage more with the great Indian fans. WWE has other Indian wrestlers on their roster, Shanky, Veer, Guru Raaj, and Sanga. Many speculate that Mahal & Shanky will likely be featured vastly during this show. Raaj, Sanga, & Veer wrestle in NXT. That doesn’t mean they won’t be there.
