Welcome to another edition of the Weekly News regarding everything professional wrestling.

Let’s discuss our top stories;

1. Is WWE showing interest in CM Punk?

After learning that AEW would likely buy out CM Punk’s AEW Contract. So various reports indicate Punk could sign with WWE, a company that didn’t seem to enjoy “ The Second City Saint” too much while employed there & Punk has remained vocal about his criticisms of AEW’s rival. Fightful Select is reporting that according to sources within WWE, a return for CM Punk is not entirely impossible. They say, ‘ The Triple H regime would be open to this idea.

Paraphrasing-Here’s a quote, “ anything within reason for the right money, creativity, & situation.

The Game wants success by featuring compelling television. CM Punk does help them with that style of programming. Also, don’t forget about a possible non-compete clause. It might keep him from signing with WWE! Either way, Punk’s return to All-Elite Wrestling appears doubtful at this point & Triple H allegedly showing interest gets people talking certainly.

2. Adam Page Concussed on Dynamite

The professional wrestling world saw & heard some horrific news when Adam “ Hangman “ Page suffered a bad concussion during his match against AEW Champion Jon Moxley on Oct. 18 Dynamite episode. AEW declared Page’s diagnosis was a concussion.

He stayed in the Cincinnati trauma center, then later was released. Hangman will remain on concussion protocol for AEW. Commentators Tony Schiavone & Taz were naturally bothered by it, as anyone should. Page tweeted the following day, October 19th, to let everyone know he was doing alright.

3. WWE is bringing back old PPVs & canceling Day 1

Fans who liked the Day 1 premium live event are out of luck. Reports came out confirming this cancellation. Wrestlemomics broke the story, & don’t expect Day 1 to take on a rebranding either. Currently, WWE has no event between Survivor Series ( November 26th) & Royal Rumble ( January 28th). Originally Day 1 was scheduled for January 1 inside Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, which marked the second year.

Bryan Alvarez communicated that noticeable changes are coming related to premium live events. The emphasis is on more international shows & fewer gimmick-themed programs. Dave Meltzer also explained that conflicts involving high-profile football games transpire on these dates in Atlanta on Dec 31st & Jan. 1. His source is Brandon Thurston.

Four huge pay-per-views, possibly returning in 2023. Over The Edge, Unforgiven, No Way Out, & Xero News also reports that In Your House will likely return to the main roster. Still no news on what they might replace just yet.

4. Kevin Nash’s son Tristen Nash dies at 26

We have some very heartbreaking & devastating news to share. Tristen Nash recently passed away at the young age of 26. He was the son of wrestling legend & WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash & Tamera Nash. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful shared this sad news on Thursday, October 20th, via Twitter.

“On behalf of Kevin and Tamara Nash, I have to, unfortunately, report that their son Tristen Nash has tragically passed away at the age of 26,” the statement began.

Sean Oliver hosts Kevin Nash’s popular podcast called, Kliq This and spoke fondly of Tristen.

He added “ They were big things coming for him, but it was not meant to be. “ Oliver further said that Tristen had recently begun working on the podcast. He & father Kevin enjoyed the experience of working together.

Oliver wrote, “ I met a great young man this year named Tristen. He worked with me and his dad on a podcast we have, and proved to be smart, sweet, savvy, witty, and mature beyond his mere handful of years.

Since Thursday afternoon, Kevin Nash has not spoken publicly about his son’s sad passing.

Wrestle Buddy sends our condolences to the entire Nash Family during this difficult time.

5. Bray Wyatt teases a Faction

Bray Wyatt was featured on SmackDown cutting a revealing & intriguing promo backstage teasing his faction. After witnessing a heartfelt speech followed by a spooky video showing somebody wearing a mask taunting Wyatt. It seems to be Bray himself.

Here are some excerpts of that promo:

“I need to finish what I said, but that’s okay. I will now. I used to say all the time that revenge is a confession of pain, and it is. I still believe that. I feel like confessing some things to you guys. I feel like that can help. right? So, here it goes. I confess that I have problems. I know that I have problems. I’ve always had problems. It’s so hard for people to see.

Uncle Howdy responded to Bray Wyatt:

“ But there’s a few of them like anger which, sometimes, can take me to places that I don’t want to see and that’s taken me to some place in the past that I shouldn’t have come back from. I really shouldn’t but for whatever reason I did. Chances. Chance is something most people won’t take. And I confess that this time I was happy. I was content with just being left alone.

“I was okay with it being over. I wanted you to stop saying my name. I wanted you to leave me the hell alone. But I confess that I’m really glad you didn’t because I needed you. I needed all of you to pull the spears out of my ribs and help me out, and I’m thankful for that because now I can see. I know who you are. I know what you want. I know what you’re trying to do but it won’t work. I confess that along this journey I am going to do horrible, horrible things. But I will never feel sorry for them. I’m just a servant now. I go where the circle takes me.”
