The Ringmaster
After being dismissed by WCW via Eric Bischoff FedEx and a short run in ECW, Steve Austin made his way to the WWF. The once ‘Stunning’ blonde now had a buzzcut and was paired with DiBiase under the Ringmaster moniker. Awarded the Million Dollar title, his main feud was with Savio Vega (who was the first person to pin Austin). They faced at WrestleMania with Austin winning however, after a loss in a Caribbean Strap Match to the former Kwang at In Your House: Beware of Dog, the ‘Million Dollar Man’ was forced to leave the WWF in storyline.
Austin did just fine for himself on his own. He would face Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13 and join the main event scene, eventually winning his first title at the next year’s event and starting a feud with Vince McMahon – and the rest, as they say, is history.
‘Stone Cold’ still makes the occasional WWE appearance in the hopes of popping a rating or nostalgia return at a big event. He also dabbles in acting whilst also hosting Broken Skulls Sessions show on the WWE Network.
