Nikolai Volkoff

In 1994, the evil ‘Russian’ was brought back to the WWF as DiBiase’s destitute servant – brought back after falling on hard times. He was clearly not valued by Ted but just used as the group’s fine line of defence. Given the title of ‘Nickel and Dime’, his attire showed he was now clearly defiant against his will and only working for a living; this included his tights now adorned with a ‘¢’ symbol and outfit that read “Property of the Million Dollar Man’.

He would stick around for over a year, mostly gaining house show wins but would have televised losses to the 1-2-3 Kid and Tatanka. Unfortunately, Volkoff died in July 2018 at the age of 70. He had recently been in hospital for dehydration and would pass away just a few days after release.
