WWE SummeSlam 2022 Full Results – July 30, 2022

Bianca Belair (c) Vs. Becky Lynch – RAW Women’s Championship

Despite having the upperhand several times, Lynch could never put down Belair for good, and with the two up on the ropes, Lynch’s attempted Manhandle Slam was countered by Belair, who flipped her over and then hit a KOD to end things.

Winner: Bianca Belair

After the match, however, things got a bit chaotic. With Lynch taking in the loss, she extended a hand to Belair, with the two superstars shaking hands before uniting in a hug.

As Belair went on to celebrate, she was interrupted by the surprise return of Bayley, a superstar who has been away from WWE for nearly a full year after suffering an ACL tear last June. With the crowd already shocked, Bayley then welcomed out none other than Dakota Kai, seemingly back with the WWE, and Io Shirai.

Just as the trio was ready to get into the ring, though, Becky Lynch returned, and the pair were able to scare off the trio before they departed.

Ratings: 4 out of 5 stars.

The Miz Vs. Logan Paul

Paul used his incredible athleticism to land a Phenomenal Forearm, before the pair brawled it out for a bit more. However, things came to a close as Miz attempted to utilize a pair of chains to knock out Paul. However, Paul quickly ducked, and Miz was forced to stop so he didn’t hit Maryse. In the confusion, Paul hit Miz with his own move, dropping the superstar with a Skull-Crushing Finale for the win.

Winner: Logan Paul

Ratings: 3 out of 5 stars.

Bobby Lashley (c) Vs. Theory – United States Championship

Theory attacks Lashley with his briefcase during his entrance. Theory temporarily gains the advantage, but Lashley overpowers him. “All Day” rolls out of the ring and seemingly tries to leave. Lashley stops him and dodges the briefcase when Theory throws it at him. Theory dodges a Spear, but he only prolongs the inevitable, as Lashley makes him tap out to the Hurt Lock.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

Ratings: 2 out of 5 stars.

The Mysterios Vs. Judgement Day – No DQ Tag Team Match

After several weeks of cryptic vignettes alluding to his reappearance, Edge returned at SummerSlam in fiery fashion to help The Mysterios defeat The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest in a No Disqualification match. The bout saw the use of weapons and interference from Rhea Ripley before Edge came out with a Brood-like entrance. He dropped Priest and Balor with two consecutive Spears, and The Mysterios subsequently scored the win with the 619.

Winner: The Mysterios

Ratings: 3 out of 5 stars.

Pat McAfee Vs. Happy Corbin

Pat McAfee once again showed his resilience and abilities in the wrestling ring during tonight’s SummerSlam event, taking down Happy Corbin thanks to some late tricks.

In a bit of a callback to Corbin’s constant assaults on McAfee, it came down to McAfee and Corbin ending in a chaotic fashion. Late in the match, Corbin accidentally collided with the referee, dropping him down and knocking him out. With Corbin looking on in shock, McAfee quickly kicked him in the groin from behind, dropping Corbin and allowing McAfee to hit an incredible sunset flip for the win.

Winner: Pat McAfee

Ratings: 3 out of 5 stars.

The Usos (c) Vs. Street Profits – WWE Unified Tag Team Championships (Special Referee: Jeff Jarrett)

Jimmy Uso and Dawkins start the bout. Jey quickly tags in as the champions take control. The brothers work together to isolate Dawkins and keep him grounded. Jimmy hits a running hip strike, but Dawkins rallies and tags Ford who makes the hot tag. Ford gains the upper hand with standing blockbuster.

The Usos briefly take the advantage, but Ford dumps them to the outside, and Dawkins dives onto them. Jimmy kicks Dawkins, and the Street Profits double-team Jimmy for a two count. Jimmy gets a two count with a diving splash on Dawkins. They hit the double splash, but Ford breaks up the pin. Dawkins dodges a kick, and Jarrett catches it. He sends Jimmy into Dawkins, who drops him with a spinebuster. Ford hits the frog splash for a near fall. Ford gets upset with Jarrett, and the Usos superkick him.

The champions slam Ford into the barricade and superkick Dawkins. Back in the ring, they superkick him and hit the One-D for the win.

Winner: The Usos

Ratings: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Liv Morgan (c) Vs. Ronda Rousey – Smackdown Women’s Championship

The match came to a surprise conclusion when Rousey locked Liv Morgan in a nasty looking armbar following various attempts to get her to tap out via submission earlier in the match. Morgan seemed to tap out initially, but the referee never saw it, and Morgan was able to stand up and pin down Rousey while she was still inside of the armbar, allowing the referee to count to three and declare Morgan the winner.

Winner: Liv Morgan

Ratings: 2 out of 5 stars.

A stunned Rousey was irate following the match, and couldn’t be calmed down at all. As Morgan celebrated her win, Rousey attacked the champion, locking Morgan in yet another armbar for several minutes while Morgan desperately tried to get out of it. Afterwards, Rousey then locked the referee in an armbar, before letting go as WWE officials came running in to break up the situation.

Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Brock Lesnar – Last Man Standing Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Lesnar dives off the tractor and takes the fight to Reigns. Outside of the ring, he suplexes the champion and slams him into the steel steps. “The Beast Incarnate” sends Reigns flying with another suplex and slams him into the barricade. Lesnar suplexes Reigns again. The champion slams Lesnar into a lighting structure. The challenger sends him spine-first into the steel. Lesnar takes Reigns to Suplex City with a German suplex on the floor. He sets up a table, and Heyman distracts him, allowing Reigns to fire up and slam “The Beast” through a table. Reigns blasts Lesnar with the steel steps and slams him through a table. Reigns nails Lesnar with a two Superman Punches. Reigns floors Lesnar with a Spear. “The Beast Incarnate” sends Reigns crashing to the floor.

He slams him onto the remnants of a table. Lesnar gets back in the tractor, puts Reigns in the loader and dumps him into the ring. Lesnar drops Reigns with a few German suplexes. “The Beast Incarnate” hits the F5, but Reigns beats the count. Reigns counters another F5 and locks in the guillotine. Lesnar escapes and locks in a guillotine of his own. He chokes the champion out and releases the hold. Reigns barely gets back to his feet again. Lesnar gets back in the tractor and moves the ring, while Reigns is still in it, with the tractor. He lifts the ring, sending Reigns tumbling to the floor.

The Usos attack Lesnar, but he takes them out. Heyman gives Lesnar the titles and tells him to leave Reigns alone. Lesnar slams Heyman through the broadcast table with an F5. Reigns drops him with a Spear.

Theory runs to the ring, prepared to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, but Lesnar levels him. The Usos attack Lesnar again, and Reigns floors him with a Spear. Lesnar gets back to his feet, and Reigns repeatedly hits him with the Money in the Bank case. He still won’t stay down, and Reigns blasts him with a title. Lesnar gets up again, and Reigns hits him with the other title. Reigns and the Usos bury Lesnar under the pieces of the broadcast table, so he can’t answer the count.

Winner: Roman Reigns.

Ratings: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
