Diamond Dallas Page was one of WCW’s self-made megastars in the late 90s, managing to beat the race of time as he only started pro wrestling in his mid-30s. An ally and rival of his Chris Kanyon was also a highlight of latter-day WCW with his unique offense and character development. Yet when they were brought into the WWF, turning down better money deals to sit at home for a premature WWF run for their faith in the angle, they got buried as a result.

A top face at his peak, Page debuted as a stalker of The Undertaker’s wife and was constantly made to look a fool with even wife Sara getting a pinfall win over former WCW champion. However, the worst occasion was a cage match at SummerSlam for the WCW and WWF World Tag Team titles when with brother Kane in The Brothers Of Destruction, DDP and Kanyon were squashed as if nobodys, being dismantled in 10 minutes.

A huge plummet, the Kanyon/Page duo were made to look like chumps, buried on a huge stage where they could have been legitimate and needed star power on the WCW/ECW side of The Invasion storyline (but instead it would feature noted WCW and ECW stars like Christian, Test and Shane McMahon(!)).
