Roman Reigns is currently having his dream run as champion and is close to crossing 1000 days as WWE Universal Champion of all time. Recently, Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 39 and continued his iconic run as WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. Reigns is close to reaching the 1000 days milestone on May 28, 2023. 20. The Shield Vs. Evolution (WWE Payback 2014)
Let’s go back to the time when Reigns was a part of ‘The Shield’ alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose now known as Jon Moxley. The Shield was one of the best factions of all time in WWE history. The Shield wreaked havoc on the entire WWE roster but the biggest roadblock in their path was the legendary faction ‘Evolution’ which we considered one of the top heel factions of all time.
Things went downhill for the Shield when they crossed paths with Evolution and their encounter at Extreme Rules was an entertaining bout but the rematch which took place at WWE Payback 2014 with a stipulation of No Holds Barred made the match iconic. The match went on for more than 30 minutes with the Shield coming out victorious after a legendary battle.
