Liv Morgan & Dakota Kai Injury News

We have disheartening news regarding two stars from WWE’s Women’s Division. WB has learned about the severity of Liv Morgan & Dakota Kai’s injuries. Fightful Select confirmed that Damage Control member/ex-Women’s Tag-Team Champion (Dakota Kai) is out for an extended time. Morgan and Kai last competed on the May 12th episode of SmackDown. Liv Morgan & Raquel Gonzalez defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Dakota Kai and Bayley. The match saw Morgan and Kai get injured during it.

Fast-forward to a week afterward, Rodriquez dismally announced that she & Liv were obligated to relinquish the belts. Viewers later witnessed Bayley with IYO Sky interrupt the backstage segment. Bayley said Dakota suffered a “much more devastating, a heartbreaking injury. ” So any further details relating to their injuries remain unknown. Fightful also reported, stating Kai’s injury was likely worse than Morgan’s.

WWE announced a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match, where Bayley and SKY, Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and Raquel Rodriquez alongside a mystery partner, will compete for the vacated WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships via the May 29th episode of Raw.

Dave Meltzer provided an update on Dakota’s injury. It’s confirmed to be a torn ACL.

Word was that she was injured after Morgan suffered her shoulder injury & it came in a spot where she knew Morgan was hurt & trying to protect her.

Meltzer’s explanation: ” The injury occurred in an identical match on May 12th that Liv Morgan got injured in with Raquel Rodriquez and Morgan vs. Kai & Bayley for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The word was that she was injured after Morgan suffered her shoulder injury & the knee injury came in a spot where she knew Morgan was hurt and was trying to protect her. “

There’s no official word concerning how long Liv & Dakota will be out of in-ring action.

Meltzer inserted that Kai’s surgery is likely to occur tomorrow-according to Clevelandandclinic.org, ” most people recover from an ACL tear within six to nine months. “
