Weekly News Round-Up (Oct. 30th, 2022): Sasha Banks to WWE?, Sheamus married, Emma’s WWE return & Wyatt Vs. Reigns? & many more.  

1. Sasha Banks teases WWE return:

Reportedly, via a rumor, Sasha Banks cryptically teased her return to pro-wrestling, and many took it as “ The Boss “ possibly rejoining WWE. Banks & Naomi’s departure was well-documented after creative disagreements with WWE under Vince McMahon & former head of talent relations John Laurinaitis back in May of this year. Sasha & Naomi were the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Now concerning the company’s change of direction when Stephanie & Triple H took over things, many released stars have since returned. Several rumors began circulating about their comeback & nothing happened. Sasha created more buzz after sharing photos on her personal Instagram. It helped fuel news regarding a re-emergence. Banks recently was in Barcelona because the CBD brand that she, Kalisto & his wife have called Kanndela had won an award at the World CBD Awards & Banks tweeted about it circa Oct. 20th.

We do know both Sasha & Naomi are modeling as well. Banks will appear on a new USA Network program titled Barmageddon with Nikki Bella. This show premieres (on Dec. 5th after Raw). Another probability could be at Survivor Series, which is from her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. According to Dave Meltzer Banks, he debated that her WWE deal has lapsed & this is not the case.

2. Wyatt versus Reigns? 

Allegedly, WWE plans on moving forward with a Bray Wyatt versus Roman Reigns feud in the future. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter concluded this; 

“ While it would be best to keep them apart for a while, the idea is Reigns vs. Wyatt could be the biggest program in a long time since Wyatt is so hot right now.”

I agree from a storyline perspective that Bray & The Double Champion, ‘The Tribal Chief’ Reigns have unfinished business among themselves dating back to the 2020 WWE Payback. Roman destroyed The Fiend & Braun Strowman. The Bloodline against Wyatt’s possible faction could be compelling for sure.

3. Sheamus gets Married

WWE superstar Sheamus recently married his fiancé Isabella Revilla on Friday, October 28th. That’s why “ The Celtic Warrior “ was written off of TV. AEW star Miro alongside wife CJ Perry (Lana), had attended. Miro, Drew McIntyre was among the best men at the wedding. Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, & AEW star Claudio Castagnoli was also the best man. Thanks to the photos Perry tweeted of the romantic celebration, Sheamus & Isabella look happily ever after. Drew, Rusev, & Sheamus go way back as members of The League of Nations faction in WWE!

4. Emma’s WWE return, Chelsea Green & Tegan Nox-WWE bound

After five years, Emma ( Tenille Dashwood) returned to WWE. She answered SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey’s open challenge on the Oct. 28th edition of SmackDown. The company officially listed her on their roster page & Emma tweeted that she has come “ home.

She previously wrestled for Ring of Honor & Impact. 

Chelsea Green has finished up with #IMPACTWrestling and is expected to be WWE bound.

Chelsea Green is likely returning to WWE, & she exits Impact Wrestling. PWInsider reports that WWE has an interest in bringing Green back. Chelsea faced Mickie James at the Impact tapings from Las Vegas, Nv. These two ladies competed in a matchup where the stipulation was the loser must leave the company. James defeated Green & this match will air next week. A reported vignette would air confirming Chelsea’s exit from Impact. There’s still no official word as of yet concerning this situation.

Fightful Select shared their report about WWE showing interest in having Tegan Nox return. It stems from Emma’s recent comeback that the company would desire another returning star to appear soon. Sources verified such news to Fightful. WWE let her go on Nov. 18, 2021. Tegan signed in 2017 & wrestled in NXT until July 2021, when Nox debuted on the main roster with Shotzi Blackheart. Her last match transpired on Oct. 21st, 2021. Her final singles match saw Nox lose on Tamina-August 6th, SmackDown (2021). Since then, Tegan hasn’t wrestled. In August, she also attributed this to Visa issues which factored into that.

Many fans speculate as to who will join Bray Wyatt’s possible faction. On this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Wyatt ended the show by delivering a gripping promo similar to last week. He said in the promo that this is the most real and best version of himself, but there is a part of him that likes that he’s not afraid to do horrible things.

A bizarre figure appears to interrupt Wyatt. That Wyatt can never hide from him. This figure introduced himself as Uncle Howdy. Wrestling fans are guessing the character’s identity. Howdy wears a cross earring on his left ear. Former WWE wrestler & Bray’s real-life brother Bo Dallas also wore that same earring on WWE TV before departing.
