Vs. The Nexus (Summerslam 2010)
The Nexus became the freshest and hottest thing in the WWE, with seven up-and-coming wrestlers causing chaos all summer long. The payoff was to have team WWE vs. The Nexus, and this was supposed to catapult them to superstardom and kick off a new era in WWE. But that was not the case. This match was “Super” Cena in full effect. This match saw John Cena take out three members of the Nexus with no issues.
The booking decision was not so great, but this is why Cena is Mr. Summerslam, and a big win against the Nexus is proof Summerslam is his show. This match would go on the be his final win in seven years but would go on to put on classic after classic for years to come.
