As much as he is mocked today, there was a point in time when Virgil was definitely over, however he significantly cooled off after the years. Falling down the card in the WWF, he left to go to WCW where he was a memorable miscast member of the NWO. Similarly, he joined another beloved faction in the late 90s as he became Curly Bill in WCW’s West Texas Rednecks.

Featuring former Four Horsemen members and world titleholders Barry Windham and Curt Hennig as well as Barry’s brother Kendall and Bobby Duncum Jr., they were also a band with all members playing different instruments in their country music quartet. Singing hits ‘Good Ol’ Boys’ and ‘Rap Is Crap (I Hate Rap)’, they were a goofy yet enjoyable and humorous part of WCW in this era. The former Vincent joined late into their run, renamed Curly Bill and wearing a cowboy outfit. Ultimately, he did very little in the group as they only lasted June-October ‘99.
