The Number 08 spot belongs to the match that nobody talks about, Benoit versus Orton at SummerSlam 2004 was one of the best main event of the PPV during Ruthless Aggression Era. This match never got the praise it deserves and WWE deleted this match from their history due to Benoit’s Double Murder-Suicide case.

This match made Randy Orton the youngest ever World champion in WWE history and made him a main event star. Yes, few people will come here and say Orton became star after his encounter with Foley at Backlash 2004. But, this match solidifies his legacy as the main event guy or I say ‘The Guy’.

The match was stellar and we all know that Benoit was one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, so it was very rare to see him in a mediocre match. Orton matches the toughness and speed of Benoit. Benoit attempted to apply the Crippler Crossface but Orton countered into an RKO to win the title.

  1. Lesnar vs The Rock
    Rock vs Angle vs HHH
Edge vs Undertaker really stood out for me.
