04. CM Punk Vs. John Cena – WWE Undisputed Championship with Triple H as the Special Guest Referee (SummerSlam 2011)

The Number 04 spot belongs to the ‘Summer of Punk’. CM Punk had a meteoric rise during 2011s summer and he became the WWE Champion by beating John Cena clean at MITB 2011. Punk leaves the company with the title and WWE held a tournament for crowning the new WWE Champion, which Cena won eventually. Right after Cena won the title, Punk made his return and called himself the real champ, which sets up this classic encounter between Cena and Punk at SummerSlam.

The match was pure gold and it could be in the top 3 in the list, the reason I put this match out of the top 3 SummerSlam main event matches was the aftermatch of this match.

After an amazing match, Punk won the title and became the WWE Undisputed Champion. As Punk celebrated his WWE Championship win, Kevin Nash returned and attacked Punk with a Jackknife Powerbomb. Alberto Del Rio cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and performed a Step Up Enziguiri on Punk to win the title. WWE spoiled the entire ‘Summer of Punk’ by putting Punk in a storyline between Triple H & Kevin Nash.
